Hi guys,
I have an 02 Yamaha viper 700. This is my first sled and the suspension has always sucked. Reading through here, it always has. I have confirmed that my rear shock is gone and was quoted at $500 for a replacement. What ski-doo suspensions will fit in this sled? I can get some ski-doo ones for $500 from a used parts dealer. Help/opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Do a search in the Viper/Srx forum. Skid swaps have been done alot.
also I think if you have an 02 viper there was a shock swap you can do for a softer ride at a discount from the dealer.......I think you have to trade in your stock shocks...........does this ring a bell with anyone???

yes, they had an upgrade setup where for $189 they swapped all 4 shocks for softer valved/sprung setups like the 03 er had. not sure they still do that though

I had the updated ones put on mine at the end of the first year for free(don't ask).Rode for a while like that, but ended up putting the originals back on.I had the original set-up pretty good, but couldn't seem to get the updated set up the way I wanted.I would go with the Doo or Poo suspension if you really want to make a difference.Wish I would have done the Doo susp. myself more so because I'm more familiar with them.
