How big is it? Width of band and diameter across? is it rubber,plastic....? Is it off your XTC

clearly there was a lobster in your bellypan that was able to break its clawcuff and escape. just be happy that you dont have clawmarks everywhere!!!
ps. I have no idea, just thought it looked like the band on a lobster claw and HAD to comment ;)

I had one exactly like that fly out of my primary, bang around and nik primary sheaves and secondary sheaves before tearing a hole in the clutch cover and then laying to rest...

clutches got extremely hot when trying to desperratley haul out gear in April after 3 days of rain...

check primary carefully... tj

What number do you think it is? The sled was running good all day but then it felt like the brake was sticking. It wouldn't go over 60 on a hard packed trail. That is when i started looking and found this part.

might it feel like you are starting out in 4th gear, mine lost #6 but it didnt leave the shaft it just ate into the brg.. Cost me a secondary, jackshaft, and brg.assy. OUCH......

I took everything a part and it was a lobster claw. LOL. It was the inner bushing on the primary clutch. It didn't do any other damage. Back in action. Thanks to everyone for your help.
