When the clutch engages I was getting a heavy jolt and wasnt sure what it was. I stopped on the side of the trail and when I went to continue the secondary was just spinning and the drive was not.
My guess is the bearing seized and the jackshaft split or wore the splines off it.
Motor is fine and the secondary seems fine and aligned.
How hard is it to change the jackshaft? I figure it should be simple enough, if that is indeed my issue

open up the chaincase..but first lift the back end up on a stand.Take the belt off and rotate the secondary by hand and see what gives..if it spins and the track isn't..then maybe you broke the chain..if it makes some noise and turns slightly..maybe gear lost some teeth or undid itself from the shaft.Anyways you will have to open up the chaincase anyways.

yea the track spins freely without the secondary moving and there is no noise from the chaincase. i can spin the secondary with no effort, almost by wind it will spin
i hope its only the chain.. i have to wait to get off work to draw the conclusion. thanks for the response
also a funny thing to note is I towed it back without removing the belt and the track and drive spun without making noise

it was the chain. the drive shaft seems to be shifted to the clutch side.. that or I think the Butcher I got the sled from put a shaft from a phazer in, because its about 1/2" too short and so the bolt on the bottom gear puts alot of pressure on the gear.. more reason to swap the motor to my other chasis
