OK I opened up the gear case to see if I had problems inside due the fact of metal filings in the dip stick. Everything was fine - no noticeable problems and I'm thinking the oil hasn't been changed since I purchased the sled. Now I have it all back together it's not going all the way in reverse and grinds. I never had this before so it's something I did putting it back together. I'm about to open it back up but figured I check here first. I'm thinking the reverse arm isn't in the right place.

Thanks guys.

Well I took it all apart again - everything was in the right way. I figure the little bit of filings were from the gear engagement and since the oil hasn't been changed that was the unnecessary disassembly of the gear box. I'm thinking I had the chain adjuster a little to tight. I put it all back together and it work fine for a few runs around the yard but needed to be adjusted out a bit more. I think I have in set right now, back to easy engagement and no more grind :P
I did mess with the adjustments on the rods a little.

if not adjusted properly the fork will wear prematurely. upper & lower linkages need to be adjusted to service manual specs.

Humm I have the service manual (pdf) but I don't see a section on setting the upper and lower linkage adjustment.
