Took my new to me SRX 700 out this morning for a rip and it is quite cold out. My heated visor plug is not working. Not really familiar with this unit yet so what should I be looking for to trace this back. Not even sure what the wire is hooked up to.

Are you saying the plug off the sled is dead, or your shield is not working? I've had the wire going to the helmet fail on mine before. Just checked it w/ a digital multi-meter while running to verify lack of voltage.

Mine was attached to the brake light circuit with one of those squeeze on crimps. I moved it to the headlight dimmer switch circuit with solder and it now works fine. The ground side is attached to the handle bar bolts. Not sure if the prob was the wrong circuit or crappy connection. Its good now.

Neither wire was hooked to anything - what wire should I connect the red to? Best place to ground the wire is?

Are headlights on an srx all the time or is there hi/low and off? If they are on all the time, connect red to one of the two wires going to your headlight dinner switch. Connect the ground to the handle bar bolts. Or do a search here for a better answer. Solder connections.
