do i have to remove my carbs to adjust the needle clip ?the sled is a 1998 600 vmax sx. thanks
The answer is NO!? All you have to do is remove the 2 phillips screws on top of the carbs then remove the 2 (allen) hex head screws and under the 2 hex heads is where the needle resides. becareful to not lose the thin white washers.
I found it help's to tape the throttle lever WOT after I loosen the allen head screw's.
Then remove the block and hinge,after that I used a telescopic magnet to get the needle out of the slide be careful of the plastic washer's.
You will need a 2.5mm ball end allen wrench

it's easier to just remove the carbs & do it on the bench.
