I saw an add for a 1997 SRX 700. Is there such a machine? I thought 1998 was the first year. Or is it the same name but different machine?

Only sled close to an SRX in 97' would be a Vmax SX 700 triple, w/3-1 pipe. Very fast with a bullet proof reputation.

The 97' Vmax SX 700 triple is what I'm currently hunting for as well Mike. I've read nothing but positive things & reviews all over this site about it from current & previous owners. It is bullet proof with an engine that will turn a lot of miles before needing any rebuild/top end & if maintained properly each season, it'll keep going & going. There's a lot available for it in mods but I think stock is the only way to keep that engine strong. Super fast, handles great, & is reliable as heck.....win/win/win.

Except now you'll have to change your avatar. LOL
From what I've read I don't think you'll be disappointed. Good luck Red... head.
