I took apart my secondary to clean it up and check everything over, and I usually mark them so that I can put them back together exactly the same way I took them apart. This time I forgot, on the primary there are two marks "X" on each sheave and you align those for balance. I can't find anything like that on the secondary, are these balanced individually so it doesn't matter how they go back together? Each side has a different number of holes drilled part way through in which I believe is for balancing, is that correct? I searched the forums for this and couldn't find anything on this and can't find anything in the service manuals either.
makes no differnce how the sec. goes back together. probably because it twists on the helix and changes the balance anyway

I believe the sheaves are balanced individually. I've replaced just one before when the bearing let go and chewed the sheave. Also like Yammy said, it would change based on the spring twist.
