RE: Belt Deflection Questions
Hey guys, anyone know what the belt deflection should be on my 1980 SRX440? it dont' list it anywhere in the manual, I have the center to center (270mm) and the offset (5.5mm) but wanted to check the deflection as the stock belt is discontinued and i want to check my 89X Yamaha belt on there, seems a little loose. I heard there are some Dayco belts that work on these old sleds also, but I like to keep it on the Yamaha ones if i could, just want to make sure I dont' eat these belts like some do if they are not set up proper.

I try to keep the 81 SRX440 and My Vmax 540's at 1 to 11/2" Max ! ? !
