Hey everyone, since you all helped me last year with an awesome setup with my viper I though I would check for a good set up on my wife and sons sleds
Elevation 9-11k, running holtzman variflows on both sleds(I have to read up on these as I have an ATACC on the viper)
Both are setup currently for low elevation, 2001 mtn max 600 has yellow white yellow primary and that is as far as I have gotten
1998 SRX mountain has a team roller secondary with 47 an 50 degree angles, White white white primary spring
Basically both sleds are stock except for silencers and I can read up on the variflows, just looking for clutching tips to keep em in the power band at altitude.
P.S. When I waxed my buddies m1000 3 times in a row on my little 700 viper in an uphill dragrace at 10000 feet I was thanking all of you in spirit!!!

im curious how you fit a 43 tooth sprocket on your sled?? I didnt know they even made them. My 42T is tight in the case on my viper

I bought this setup here on TY last year from another member and didn't question it, it fits good. You have me a bit worried though so I will check again this weekend. I am gettin all sleds ready for the mtns in a couple of weeks and need to pull my pipes anyways due to some leakage at a couple joints. I will get back to you on this.sledr3405 said:im curious how you fit a 43 tooth sprocket on your sled?? I didnt know they even made them. My 42T is tight in the case on my viper

on my 2000 mtn max, i went with the oem specs for altitude and it wasnt far off. ran the 8DG arms, loaded as prescribed, when setting it up for the kids. yellow/white/yellow sounds about right without checking.
as for the srx, i have tried several different combos, may have some better than others. need to check my notes if your interested. options included 8DN-20's and the 8DN-10's, as well as the stock 8DN-00's.
might have some loaners if you need them.

Ran an srx for years with dn-10's with 4.5 in each hole and a 43 helix. Worked really well. I'd have to dig out the old notes to see what the springs were.
