Hello All.
just got a new to me 2004 SXViper700ES
9,000kms and all stock.
It's the black one so it must be a little faster....
I believe I seen a post earlier about some inexpensive mods I can do without re jetting.
Such as Drilling the exhaust baffle and notching the reeds. and weighting the clutch
Any Idea where I can find these
I tried the search and could not find them?
I plan on a rebuild this summer as it has 125psi. Just to prevent any bad things from happening..
Any ways as you can tell by my name I have been a Suzuki guy for a long time and hope the yammy will keep me just as happy as my old rz350 and 500 did...

125psi is perfect for the compression.

I thought the normal compression was around 140?
minimum would be about 95 or so?
Maybe I do not need to rebuild?

Compression depends a lot on the gauge you use and the elevation you're at. I put a set of SRX 600 heads on my viper after I opened them up to the 700 bore size. Shaved off the head gasket thickness and with this set up at 4500 ft elevation I get 120 PSI across all three cylinders. What elevation are you at?

I am around 636ft elevation. Plus my head has been modded by bender racing.
