98 srx temp light blinking

i recently brought back to life a 98 srx.. first yamaha i've owned and im loving it.. yesterday rode for a few miles on fresh snow and temp light started blinking , a buddy told me to pay attention to blinks.. it wasnt hot..i cant remember now if it was 5 blinks or 7 blinks ... any ideas

Theres a spot in the tech pages. You can look up your sled and the you will need to know how many and the rate that they blink. My 2000 srx blinks 3 times when started, that the "good to go" sequence. others mean other things

might be power valve issue/servo motor...

5 flashes has something to do with grip warmers and 7 flashes has to do with servo motor short.
