Melted down a 1997 vmax 600 sx motor due to oil pump failure 
I have a motor out of an older 600 vmax pogo. I think 95 or 96.
I am wondering if the cylinders and pistons are interchangeable.
Oil pump too.

They look the same on the outside. Don't want to crack in to this spare motor to find out.

Not sure about the oil pump but the cylinders have different bolt pattern for the reed valves.

What if I swap the reeds? From the outside they look the same.
I need 2 cylinders and pistons.
I have in excellent shape....
2 cylinders for the redhead 600 triple with pistons.
I also have an oil pump.
I have these older style twin 600 cylinders and pistons.
