I think something may be wrong with this driveshaft, but I can't put my finger on it.....
For the record, this is not mine.

The shaft is out probably about 3/8".
It even destroyed the chaincase bearing. You can see 1/2 of the inner race still on the shaft.

using a space heater to melt the snow/ice in the rear suspension?
ahh put it back in and run it!! Might vibrate alittle but it should be fine up to about 150mph!! LOL Man you guys must've been in the mood to destroy things this past weekend!! The pics of your engine are unreal also.

Atleast I can give you guys something to talk about I can't take any credit for this shaft, since it wasn't mine. I'm sure the rightful owner will chime in shortly and let you all know what happened to cause something like this.

Stop a track instantly on a chassis dyno at 115mph and that is the start of the damage! Parts and shit where flying all over the garage. I couldnt get my *** out of there fast enough. Anyone have a drive shaft they can part with. I'm short one right now. LOL

I was helping a buddy setup his sled and broke the Dyno. Bad day when a "freebie" cost ya $1000+

Doc my shafts are worst than that. After this last experience I will be setting up the dyno a bit different. Need some protection from flying parts when things go wrong!

I already fixed him up with a shaft, and we pressed on 10 tooth drivers. That is a nice offer, though.

Jabber, did you break the hubs? I had to replace both hubs, shafts and then you need a timing bar to time / re-install the new hubs..what a pain. Mine didn't break a track, just the dyno. I thought about making 2 "x 10" wall around the track when using the dyno. Just to try and keep flying parts in one spotjabber800 said:Doc my shafts are worst than that. Doc havent inspected the hub really closely but they didnt have any obvious problems! Stub shafts both spun, main cross shaft in rear of skid spun, damaged track, drivers and shattered the lower chaincase bearing. I have never seen a bearing shatter like that before. I would have thought the chaincase would have broken first.
