Just wondering how much compression affects bhp? My SRX reads about 122psi on all three cylinders on the snap-on compression gauge.
Just looking for some straight answers/opinions from the engine builders.

SRX's average around 125 stock. The consistancy betweenthe 3 is whats most important. Your numbers sound ok to me.

YOUR NUMBERS SOUND GOOD TO ME TOO, BUT DROPING COMPRESSION MEANS DROPING HORSEPOWER. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Numbers sound good, how many miles on it? I have a complet longblock for sale
it has 2500 and 135 psi
it has 2500 and 135 psi
00-01-02 got a little more compression for stock engine
I had a friend sync my carbs as one was out, and also my comp #s were as follows 100 psi across the board which is a little low but my compression tester was reading 130 across

testers with diffrent length hoses will read diffrent anyways. longer hosed ones will show a little lower than short hosed ones. as long as they are all close to eachother

my 780 reads 85 across all three. still one of the fastest sleds at our local radar runs. i know its cause my gauge is junk. point is don't put too much thought into compression numbers unless one is down or you notice a drop on the same gauge
