srx engine serial numers

Does anybody have info on 700 motors by the serial numbers? Mine is 8DN-009560. Can you tell the year of the case w/ that number? Thanks for any info.

My 2000 srx 700 starts with 8dn. I dont know that this means for sure yours is a 2000 or not?

For giggle I went and looked at the domestic engineers 2000 sxr 700, that one starts 8ch. Both are original engine to sleds

Yea my sleds a 2000, but had someone tell me it's a 99 motor.

Was told that the 00 was for a 99.

the 8DN starting prefix was used for all the non ohlin equipped srx's.

starting numbers for the engines are as follows:
1998-000050
1999-005576
2000-009020
2001-012143
2002-017341

not real sure how to best answer that. besides here at ty where good people share great information, any yamaha dealer should have the info, if they are willing to take the time out of their day for you. establishing a good relationship with your local yamaha shop is time and money well spent.

no, i am not a dealer, just have some good friends that are and have access to a few perks.
