Can you run a 20 tooth gear from an Apex Mtn in a Viper Mtn?

The Viper 20 tooth gear part # 8DW-17682-00-00
The Apex 20 tooth gear part # 8FA-17682-00-00

Basically my question is, what is the difference in those 2 gears? Both the Apex and Viper run the exact same chains.

The gear width is the same as well.

Also what is the difference between HYVO and non-HYVO chain?

Splines Are Different.

That's what I was kind of thinking, that maybe the splines on the jackshafts are different. Thanks bolin22.
