I know the shipping prices on there are nuts..but if you can find a good deal..it might be worth it.I pu a servo motor for the SRX on there for $5.00,shipping was around $20 I think..last year.I really don't go on e-bay myself..maybe a couple times a year..not into it I guess..

I think its hit or miss. Sometimes great deals can be had, but there are allot of bad people put there!

I think it's good to keep the money between us members or at least give the members a chance to give you an honest price. If you can't get something reasonably priced here or no one has it, than it makes sense to goto ebay, but I've never had that problem. Also, it also helps repay them for all the information that they give out on here and it repays them for the sponsorship money they have donated to the this site for us to use. JMO, it's just my conviction, but that doesn't mean it has to be yours.

I find it quite useful to get round about prices on just about anything. I also buy & sell a bit on there. I have no problems with ebay. I've had good & bad deals on ebay, but also on here. This site is great for buy/sell snowmobile parts, & i always go here first to buy/sell, but not everybody eats, sleeps, & breathes snowmobiles, & i have a hard time finding parts for my F-250, my dirt bikes, my streetbikes, etc., so i use ebay. I even found a lot of stuff for my new house on ebay. Bought my kitchen faucet, my gas range, renge vent hood, shower faucets, & a few other items. Saved a LOT of money compared to the local home centers.

I look at and buy yamaha parts on ebay all the time. When the prices are right.I have bought from members on this site also.Never had a problem.Rather send large amounts of money via credit card on ebay than to somebody i dont know .Just my two cents.

Get paypal and buying from members on here or any other site is just like buying on e-bay. Ebay is good for the most part but sometimes you end up with an expensive paperweight, seen it many times!

I've done a bunch of both buying and selling on Ebay, forums, swap meets, etc.
I've never had any problems that are worth mentioning. It's easy.
Buy with your brain and NOT your heart. Sell with honesty and integrity. Expect small hicups and be man enough to deal with them and don't expect the world to be perfect. Cuz it ain't.....
Only bitch I would have with Ebay at the moment is to many "Buy it now" auctions but they can be avoided with a click of the mouse.
Craigslist is the one that seems to be a bigger risk to me and can be very zoo like. Very little control there as a buyer or seller and many nutjobs messing with it.

Would rather by from the guys here, but if you can't get what you need you have to go somewhere. I don't like selling on e-bay because it's that much more in fees you have to pay. Have had one bad buy on e-bay but filed a dispute through paypal and they got my money back.
I have more trouble from the "legit" companies than I do average joe's parting out on ebay.
ChandlerMotorsports sent me the wrong knock sensor for my car, then they said "well there's 3 knock sensors for that year." Well then they shouldn't list my car as one of the cars that the item fits. Or at least say something like "please contact us for fitment." I never got my money back, just gave them negative feedback.
A company sent me the wrong memory for my computer, and it was just like the first story.
I ordered a cheesemaking kit as a christmas gift, said it shipped on 12-10-2008, then a week after christmas went by and still nothing, so I contacted them. No response. 2 weeks later, I filed a dispute, then they hit me with negative feedback (how as a buyer can you get negative feedback when I paid within 5 minutes of buying?!).
I sold someone a scope mount. He received it then said he didn't want it anymore, wanted a red dot sight, and wanted to return it. I said the ad clearly said no returns, so he hit me with negative feedback. "
