#$%&* gas prices went up again, limiting riding now to about an hour a ride. With gas and oil it now costs me $70.00 to empty a tank of gas on the sled. Not worth any long rides anymore..spent way to much already on gas this season...if this continues into next season...riding will be on the limited side. Some will say buy a 4 stroke and get better gas mileage..don't think so..them sleds cost a bundle, better off putting gas into the old sleds instead..u can't win.

Same here. God bless Ontario. If you understand how oil futures work, you would know gas will not hit $1.50/litre this summer. Stop spending your money on secondary bushings every 2 years and use it towards gas.

yeah, it would take alot of gas money to buy a new apex 4 stroke. my boss bought a new one in dec., $13,000. ouch. could buy 5 old srx's for that!

gas won't pass 1.50 really..it is now $1.384/liter in Montreal
what does that equal out to be in $/per gallon? you said $70 for a full tank of fuel so I am assuming you are around $6 a gallon?? is that correct?

hey blue i guess ur little brother hit u just a the right place lollllllllll

Just got back this week from a trip to Minnesota to buy some equipment.Battle Lake MN $2.64/gal regular, everywhere else on the Interestate was about $3.40.

Am I the only one who doesnt care how much fuel these sleds use? These SRX's haul a$$, cant have your cake and eat it too. Reminds me of Cheap, Fast, Reliable, pick 2.

1.384 x 3.79 = $5.25 per gal in montreal... it's amazing how that line between the north and south magically causes the cost of producing gasoline to go up that much... it wouldn't be because we're getting hosed by the government on taxes just like on everything else, it just couldn't be.

i'm going to do all the maintenance i can on my sled right now before prices go up. Inflation is just around the corner

@ knee down, I am in complete agreeance with you! Not only do I foot the bill for myself I cover the cost for the "domestic engineer" and the wonder boy half the time. Its still alot cheaper than sitting on a couch babbling to some phd type and works alot better! If I can manage to put 150-250 miles in a week you cant get the grin off my face! I had a 5 week run this season of better than 200 each week!

14.08 Norwegian kroner = 2.52606464 US$
that was what I paid for 1liter earlier to day when I filled up...

2.52 a liter equals 9.55 a gallon if my math is right 1 gallon equals 3.79 liters id still ride

gas is $3.59 where im at in wi, no question as to what vehicle i drive most the time. the srx, or the 88 f-250? srx wins!!

yeah..gas is to high now here..close to $6.00/gallon premium..thank goodness winter is almost done..can't afford any more gas and oil now.Spent over $1500 on gas/oil at least already and like around $3000 for repairs and parts for 2 sleds. Now I won't be able to pay my property taxes...damn. Next year if I sled..it'll probably be only the SXR600..SRX may have to sit a few seasons.Costs are getting way to high for sleding..got more important thiings to spend my money on now.and now I have to prepare for the big flood coming and need a lot of things to buy for that... :o|
