How do you get to the bolts to adjust?
Also, to set up the rear suspension--I've seen somewhere you can add shims to the bottom of the transfer rods to drop it down. Others say to completely remove them. When it comes to shocks I've heard to stiffen the front & loosen the rear....and then conversely to go soft on both.
I've got 7-1/2" rears, Poo 5.38 idlers <<=== in stock locations...then 2 Wahl bros 4 wheel axels where I could fit them. Think I should get another 1 or 2 wheel axle up near the rail tips?
Up front, after I relax the springs to drop it down, should I get some heavy duty zip ties to keep the shocks from rebounding?
Any help on an initial set up would be appreciated. This will be my first season running at the strip.

do a search on suspension set up, I have posted numerous times. Its the same basic set up as for grass racing. find that post and ask any questions, will help from there.

for asphalt, I will also say youll likley need to drill another hole in the limiter strap about 1/2-3/4 inch higher to get the front arm all the way sucked down. Best to lay a shop light on opposite side of sled, lay your cheek on the floor and observe where you can see light from the other side, adjust till the track lays flat as you can get it from the drivers to rear idlers. leave approx 3/8-7/16 clearnce under the front driveshaft soi if you do hit a bump, you dont bend the driveshaft.

Thanks guys. For now I'm running my stock suspension with a 15" track since I already have all the stuff. I had a friend who races set up my skid with the axles a few years ago but I wasn't able to go any further with it. I'm gonna run it at some test & tunes for fun & see what happens from there.
Like everyone else I'd like to drop in a narrow proline & go all out, but that's not an option. Really what I'm getting ready for is next season on the ice. I got a little taste of it at a local lake & now I'm hooked. I want to gain experience dragging this sled & getting more familiar with set ups & how to tweak it.
As far as adjusting the track, I remember my bud telling me there is some kind of bolt on deal that relocates them so they can be reached on a windowless track. But like I said it was a few years ago when I did this. Gonna break everything down in the next few weeks and see what's up.
Thanks again for the help.
