must be nice lasse in 2 weeks ill be riding the bike...... havent had rideable snow here in about a month ....

Sorry to hear that. Maybe I will have some videos for sharing afterwards, if that can cheer you up some.

I HAVE TO TELL YA I TRIED MOST OF THOSE SET-UPS. H/C ARE AWESOME WEIGHTS, GREAT FOR RACING, BUT I FOUND MY 8BU-10 SET-UP BETTER FOR ALL AROUND USE AND WILL BLOW THE H/C AWAY ON LONG PULLS. BUT NOT IN A DRAG RACE. 3:16 (yammie tony)

I dont think your gonna find any good results with the hauck grey and red sec. springs, stick to the yamaha red and yamaha green at differnt wraps.

mrviper, you think the hauck red is just too stiff near full shift and then holds back top end mph too much or what?

Hi again. Maybe I should be more specific. These are trail/river running set ups designed to run on snow covered conditions . The reason I chose the hauck springs was because the Yamaha spring couldn't hold back when I hit some/any snow on the river, it would suck the belt down in the secondary and make the dcs flash. Could be that the dcs was too sensitive. This was on similar set ups to those posted above.

Now that I have sorted that out pretty much, I will try the Yamaha green spring, I don't think it will be as sensitive now.
Yes for sure, the yamaha green will work much better for high speed runs ond very hard/icy snow.

My best speedo reading with a 1,25 ripsaw track has been 187 km/h, unfortunately I do not remember the set up. I had a 50/36 and a hauck red, don't remember the rest. This was on "glazed" snow, snow with a icy crust on it. The problem was that I was overrevving badly, would climb up to 8700 without even being held to the bar. Gearing was 22/38.

The next best was 182-183 and that was with this set up;

ONE THING I WILL ADD IS YOUR STONE WALLED AT A 4500 ENGAGEMENT WITH THESE WEIGHTS UNLESS YOU NOTCH THEM. AND THATS FINE FOR MOST, BUT NOTCH THEM AND THAN THEY REALLY GO. THEY REALLY ARE A GREAT WEIGHT. I WILL NEVER SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT THESE, I JUST AM STUCK ON 8BU-00/8BU-10. 3:16 (yammie tony)

At one time I had 8bu weights in the sled. I think it was the 00s. The problem was that they always made a black ring down in the primary clutch. It had like, blue white blue spring, a hauck 47/42 helix and yamaha green at 70 deg. Don't know the rivets..
