Hey guys quick question. I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with trying to clean their powervales and in the process breaking off a head to the bolt because of corrosion or manufacturers defect. The valve closest to the clutch came off with some work but the middle valves bolts broke... any ideas this would be much appreciated cuz I kinda need to get this fixed.

Never had a problem with mine. Did you snap the head completely off or just strip it? If it's snapped completely off you might be able to get the valve body out of the way and then use a pair of vice grips on the stud sticking out. If it's broke off flush you'll probably have to pull the cylinder to get it out or take it to a machine shop and have them drill and re-tap it.

I had one break as well. I then proceded to break off an extractor......its a mess now.
Most of the Yami guys I talk to have never had this problem. The sled only has 700 miles but the previous owner wasnt exactly a maintenence freak.
One more argument for "Never Seize" on every bolt I touch.

I broke one of mine tightening it, I bought a kit at Sears to remove it, it worked but the kit was $50

i was tightening the bolt too much and the head just snapped off so it was flush with the cylinder. I have no pic.

broken bolts
being it broke when you were tightening it there shouldn't be much or any pressure on the remaining piece of bolt. With a small or fine pointed punch try to turn the bolt out by tapping the remaining peice counter clock wise.Or if you have a die grinder with a fine cutting disc like a drumel cut a fine slot in the end of the broken bolt so it looks like the end of a sloted screw and turn it out with a small screw driver.
