On the pipe that is closest to the left hand side when sitting on the sled. Right where the pipe comes off the engine I have a mess that is oily. Does this mean I have a gasket gone bad? I am new to this sled and I want to do most things myself. Should I be looking at the gasket for the pipe or the gasket where the joint meets the motor? Or am I not on the right track at all?

check the weep hole in the bottom of the powervalve above that pipe to see if thats leaking. if it is you need powervalve seals

Phazer or Srx? Phazer...I have no idea. Srx then I would tend to think its the O-ring on the power valve assembly. Some say its a common go to the hardware and pick one up others say get it from yamaha. Should be able to find a diagram in the tech section of assembly in exploded veiw fashion.

Sorry - yes on my SRX. If it is the Powervalve Gasket would that be in the inner gasket or outer (closest to hood) gasket? The O-Ring I assume in the diagram is the Oil Seal which is ahead of what I refer to the Inner Gasket. At the end of the season I am going to pull my power valves to clean them. So will likely replace all of this when that happens.
