I have a 99 sx 600 with stock weights loaded with heavy rivets, hauck helix set at 1-6 hauck springs, stock gearing, thin head gasket, reed spacers, bored silencer, it comes in a bit over 4000, pulls 8600 for the first 800-1000 feet then heads right up around 9000. I see Turk recommends 8ca weights, is there a noticable gain in acceleration with the 8ca weights over the 8dg weights? Do heel clickers work in the 600 triple? I know the 600 triple has a broad power band but does 9000 produce much less hp than 8500?

I tried 8ch weights and didn't gain anything. The 600's can only push out so much power..if you want more acceleration..go to a 700.. I am just sticking to 8dg now..3.6 inner and about 3.6-3.7 outer..that gets rpms down on top.I am launching around 4000 and wot around 8500-8600.

You may need to try a primary spring with less rate and same
engagement force or add more weight to tip in weights. I would
run 8500ish for rpm's if stock. 8ab/8ca weights would run better
for acceleration but need a complete setup.(primary/secondary)

I have the same sled and used Turks 8ca set up along with the dual helix wound to 90 degree and dropped one tooth on the top gear. Did all the mods and the thing is rock solid at 8500 all the way through shift-out.

before you make changes to your sled, you might want to come out and run mine out in the field to make sure Turk's clutch setup is what you want. PM me and I will send you my cell #. We live 3 miles south right on Hwy H.
