can anybody tell me if thers a benefit fromj puting 36mm carbs on a 2001 srx. i have 33mm carbs know runing stock. is there an advantage????

NO..
you will have to jet up a bunch killing your fuel mileage and have no noticeable gains to speak of as well as a tuning nightmare. a well tuned stock SRX gets 14 mpg.
Keep it simple and reliable and just put in some good clutching.
Bigger carbs wont gain you anything until top end anyways, guys that put bigger carbs on are running full modified race motors with 44mm lectrons.
