Hey guys. 02 Viper stock except V-Force 3 reeds. Going riding up North this weekend. Supposed to be high 30's low 40's. I know my sled will be running rich on account of the temps. Is it a good idea/will it make any difference if I remove my foam on my airbox to get more air in?. My fuel screws are set a 2 turns to remedy an idle hang. Just gonna be trail riding, probably not alot of powder getting into my hood to worry about.
Thanks. Couldn't find any info doing a search.

i did the same thing last week when the temps were about 32-38*. it made a difference for me.

Thanks guys. I may try removing it if it starts to run like crap. If not I'll leave it alone.

How far north you going? I rode twin mountain to Colebrook last Saturday and the trails were not groomed. Water bars and dirt everywhere.

im heading to caribou riding to jackman then who knows and i run alot without the pre-filter... minimal difference but helps some in warmer climate...

Headin' up into Warren, Dalton area. Probably the last rides of the season. Just got my rear cooler put on and protectors(Thanks nysrx). Hopefully trails will be decent. I try to stay away from Twin Mountain area east and north, Too much traffic for my liking.
Ride safe.....
