Does anyone know where I can find the mounting dimensions for a Doo skid (SC10III) ? Looking to put a new skid in my viper and while I was set on going with an Edge skid, I might be able to pick up a Doo one super cheap. I have all the info on the edge, but having a hard time finding anything on the Doo. Based on pics of srxs and vipers with a Doo skid, it looks pretty easy and is possible to reuse the yammy rear mount location. TIA

I"ll check it out. THanks!
For anyone that has installed a Doo skid, are they the same width as the NoAction or will i need to make large spacers?

Yes they are the same width and the rear plates have to be moved back a couple of inches but will catch the inside reinforcment bracket. tech faq in this forum has info!
perfect! So you did not have to add any spacers with either the front or rear mounts?

No spacers in the 02 mxz skids same width, moved the front brackets back and the rear washers back.Check with a tape when you have them side by side but they should be the same.

I'll head over to the Doo site, but does anyone know the difference between the SC3 and SC4 skids...are they the same width? I was all set on going with an Edge skid, but i can get a great deal on an SC4 right now.
found an answer...the S4 was strictly designed for a rider forward chassis and the dimensions are entirely different from the SC3. Looks like the SC3 is the way to go if installing in a viper. Either an Edge or SC3 it is.

That is consistent with what I have been told. However, I do know of a couple ProAction chassis sleds with the SC4 and SC5 in them. I do not know any details.ajviper said:found an answer...the S4 was strictly designed for a rider forward chassis and the dimensions are entirely different from the SC3. yeah, i guess it would still work and would probably require a stiffer shock being that it will have much more weight. If the width is the same, I still may go with it. I like the idea of not having to make spacers (if the sc3 truly is the same as the ProAction) to fill the gap like with the edge and IQ skids.
I've got an SC10V (2009 gage 137") in my 2003 venture and it rides like a dream.........

DId you have to make spacers for both the front and rear mounts or is the skid the same width as the proAction?
I made a new hole for the front location,,,, (used aluminum plates, riveted) and used the ski doo drop brackets on the back, as the shaft is wider and made for the offset in the bracket,,, (the bracket bolted on the inside of tunnel on the Yamaha skid)........ajviper said:DId you have to make spacers for both the front and rear mounts or is the skid the same width as the proAction?
