What type of supension was used in Warrior sleds. i am pretty sure they are 136"
Will it fit into Viper? How much work?
Is there a significant sacrifice to do this rather than using 121 apex skid.
Good idea or bad?

The 136 ProAction skid was in the Warrior. Personally if I was going to the trouble of swapping I would put a better skid in it. The ProAction is not a very good skid on or off trail by today's standards.

warriors were 136, but if i remember right they were still proactoin with same travel as the viper. would be more work but i think one of those mono's from an apex would work alot nicer, there are a few on this site that has done it and love it, think im doing it myself to my viper also.(trying to decide to do it or just sell it and get another 4 stroke)

Yes the warriors were just a 136 version of the proaction. If you just want to long track your sled, it would be a direct bolt in.
However, after doing the swap myself, i would also recommend trying to find a monoshock skid. If you don't want to drill the big 2 1/4 inch hole in your tunnel, the new vector has the adjustment right on the shock. Not sure if the older monoshock systems can be converted this way or not, the parts fiche is not availible yet to check. You won't be able to adjust the shock while riding but it will be fully adjustable. I barely ever adjust while riding anyways.

Warrior skid is not bolt in. Rear ARM and fra mount in different location. Warrior skid has more trave. Mono will ride better and be just as breakable in stock form.
For the money, revalve,ad extensions and btv your skid.
If money is no object, reinforced, revalved mono

Thanks guys, Cost is always a factor, but for a couple hundred bucks who knows. I am a do it right or don't bother type of guy. I am leaning towards mono shock at this point.
What should I pay for a 121 suspension? I know where there is one with the Gt shock package but not sure what to pay?
There is still another option that may work. I have an 06 Apex that I ride,
my son rides the Viper. I am thinking of putting a 136" into the Apex and moving the 121" skid into the Viper. Can I do 136 in the Apex without tunnel extensions? Looks close
Likely a little harder to find a 136" skid.
Also has anyone tried just putting the Apex stock shocks and springs in the front of the Viper.

I think you will need the extension on the apex to get a 136 in there. I paid I think $850 for mine, but that was a few years back now. I would expect $500-$800 as reasonable, depending on condition. if you do end up with one and want a template just let me know. its my own little "pay it forward" for the site. love to help out when I can!!
