so after 2 years and thousands of miles ive never thrown a belt in the srx!!! except for today! i went threw 2, both used belts i missed the dealer when i got up here and one belt was old i knew it was old but i ran it because i had nothing else well, after that i used the spare off my buddies sled which didnt last long after a very long 100mph + pull,...
clutch faces seem warm but not hot, the secondary is cool to the touch never had the motor out or anything and ive never had any problems with belts
needless to say when i met up with my brother i got a good belt but now im worried if im eating up belts or did i just try to use 2 garbage belts? (1 of them was the original belt to my sled )
idk any sugggesttions or experience blowing belts?

check your center to center an alignment..maybe your motor mount is broken somewhere also.Shouldn't just blow like that.I had one that was starting to unravel a few years back..but didn't blow on me doing wot runs.I just went and replaced it with a new one to be safe.

I am thinking you may have a broken motor mount. Seems very odd that you blow a couple in one day. Could be clutch alignment or something along those lines.

its just weird that nothing seems abnormal... the only thing different is running at very high speeds... i just did 200 miles with no issues on a good belt but now im concerned..

high mph is what blew the belts, its from excessive belt speeds. for that kind of running, you really need to bump up the top gear by 1 tooth, this will keep the belt speed down and gain you mph on the lake.
