just tore apart my brothers srx600 and behold, piston is toasted.
pieces where blown off the top side of the dome, and cylinder badly scored/ scratched/ gouged
so the delemma now,
rebuild the sled using stock pistons, cylinders, and so on, or
go to a 700srx motor.
any ones thoughts are welcome?
if i go to the 700, what will i need?
700 cdi? or any thing else?
thanks.

The 700 top end jugs, pistons & heads bolt onto the 600...same engine from the connecting rods up. You can use the 600 cDI...gives a little better timing advance.
PS...my company has a branch in Whitby & has talked about moving me there!!!
