I have a '94 Vmax 600. I noticed in the manual that there's an electric start kit available, and there's a place for a starter in the crank case.
I was wondering, what all is included in the electric start kit?
Is the starter the same as was used on the phazer?
I have an '85 Phazer disassembled and stacked on shelves in my garage, so I have the starter, wiring harness, and even the battery tray for that sled. If I can relatively easily adapt it to the Vmax, I will. Need to do it without spending much more money, though. I figure if it's the same starter I can build a harness to charge a battery off the existing electrical system, adapt the phazer battery mount to the vmax chassis, run the phazer solenoid and starter with either a start button or the existing key.
Has anyone done anything like this?
