So lastnight the srx broke through a creek stream/ washout ... The left side was submerged for minutes. We pulled the sled out pulled the plugs and got as much water as we could out but it was too late to fire it up the carbs had already froze. I'm beyond upset and driving south bound now I loaded cylinders with wd40 that's all I had this morning and I'm wondering what has to be done to make sure all water is out and no rust forms ... I would really appreciate any advice so I could keep my srx going ...
Is there crank case drains likethe Polaris ?
What a crazy weekend ...

Thaw it out and start the motor as quickly as possible. Spray fogging oil into the carbs for a couple of minues and then drive it aound to heat up and evaporate all the moisture in the crank.

drain all the gas, carbs and lines, and oil tank, put fresh in. Start and run it, heat will dry out the engine, and crankcase. don't forget to drain the chain case, if it was in the drink.

good advice. Also, disconnect your speedo cable from the drive shaft before rolling the track. there's probably water in the cable and if it's frozen, it will break the piece that goes into the drive shaft (whatever it's called) and it'll get stuck in there. You can also pop the seal on the drive shaft bearing and clean it out before regreasing it. Same for the jackshaft bearing if it got wet.
