I was wondering if the 99's had the problem of the wiring rubbing and shorting out under the motor. The reason I ask is that today when I fired it up the lights and the tack flickered on and off a few times and then it worked fine.
Thanks!

they all do it, I have fixed 98,99,2000(lots), not many 2001, its common, just unplug the harness up by the hood hinge on the pto side, then pull harness back under engine by the coolant tank, easy to do with airbox out and stuff out of the way, repair , then use the small auto conduit to help add some protection, your problems will be solved.

:-) The things I wish I would have done before it turned into a problem.
If you're lucky you can pull the wires enough to fix them without having to take the motor out. Pipes and airbox removed to get at them.
Consider wire looming around them once fixed so it doesn't happen again.
