Hey folks,
Just bought a Viper S it has the rear exchager installed and it is studded. I have only ta few miles on it and noticed the studs have chewed the cooler at the top(has protectors). Should I remove studs, not worry or what?
Thanks

Had a similar issue with my Viper skided SRX. 1" aggressor with 1.175" Gold diggers and rear HX protectors. Tightening the track, still looser than spec but tighter than I used to run it corrected it. Or you could reduce the stud length to 1.075" and leave track tension alone.
For years I couldn't understand why I was getting contact when others weren't until I measureed a stud and found I wasn't using 1.075" but 1.175".
IMO - Removing the studs isn't an option. I don't like to ride without them on heavily traveled trails.

I have the same on my viper. Dont have a problem with my studs hitting the cooler. Shouldn't chew it up with the protectors either.
