it looks to be a hyvo gear. It might be a polaris gear though. if it is, it will have a little different spacing. It lools like it might be an epi cut one.
Hyvo teath have a wider bottom gap in the tooth, making the tooth itself look straighter. chains are easier to tell, they have a curved top outer link

I AGREE, THATS A HYVO BUT LOOKS TO BE POLARIS OR EPI. SHOULD WORK FINE. 3:16 (yammie tony)
I run a 37t polaris hyvo bottom gear and it works fine.

like betheviper said the spacing will be different if its a polaris hyvo gear. you will have to make a different spacer to use, instead of the factory spacer behind the gear. you have to take the original gear and spacer and measure the total thickness of the two, then measure the thickness of that hyvo gear, and make a new spacer that's the difference. i can't remember how thick of a spacer it was, but that's what i had to do when i put a team polaris hyvo 39t on my viper. otherwise the alignment of the two gears is off and the chain will run on an angle.

you might want to double check the alignment of the two gears and see how the chain is tracking. i bet its running on a angle.

Thanks for the tip, i will have a look.

x2 on what josh is saying. i have a 40tooth polaris gear. i had to make a thinner spacer. dont remember the thickness now but it's easily figured outmopar1rules said:you might want to double check the alignment of the two gears and see how the chain is tracking. i bet its running on a angle.
