This is an interesting read which implies the 4 major sled manufacturers are guilty of breaking antitrust laws.
Yamaha seems to be in a collective agreement with the other 3 brands, as they all charge $1500-$3000 more to Canadian buyers.

I will bring this my MP and see what he says. This may be a useful platform in an upcoming election.

maybe with all the problems in Japan now..they will not be building any new sleds and Bikes in the near future.I heard that the radioactivity readings are like huge compared to when WW2 events happened.Seems like a lot of people won't be able to go home or to work and have to move away..coiuld make a difference in the products they build.Heard already cars prices will rise..omagine their sleds prices could climb also..putting them out of reach to consumers..Imagine if everyone had to leave Japan and they have to destroy ther Island...no more Yamaha.

know your role and shut your mouth ........lol..It doesn't MATTER what you say!! Heard some of the car manufacturers here have shut down the night shift because of lack of parts from Japan..and car prices will also climb...this could also be an issue with power sport vehicles also..better order any parts you need now because they may be in short supply in a little while..

anyone know where yamaha's are actually built in japan? Japan is a fairly large place, and only a very small portion would be unihabitable in a worse case scenario.
But yeah, this could affect ALL vehicles. Guess which manufacturer was the first to shut down a factory because of it? GM. Almost every fuel injected vehicle has either a full ecu or at least IC's that are made in Japan. GM is obviously running a very tight supply chain, so any interruption hits them the hardest and first.
