I had to ask a ignorant question. waht is the difference between an sxr and an srx? I live in colorado. these look to be lake/trail sleds. I have never seen one. I see sxvipers, and mountain max and occasionally in rare circumstance an enticer or v-max. thanks. I just wanted to know because I read nearly all the posts looking for tips, and tricks. :2strokes:

Imagine that, I happen to own both! At a glance they look very similar. Sxr has 10 inches of rear travel over srx. Sxr is a redhead 700 (698cc) 112 hp,ish. sxr is factory single pipe and no powervalves. Srx is a powervalved 700 (696 cc) it has 3 seperate heads intead of redhead plate style head. Srx has triple pipes factory and is rated for 142hp.ish. My sxr is basically stock except for studded track. My srx is basically stock power wise, but has Pioneer long travel kit to make up for the "lake racer" type stock suspension. I like the sxr whereas I LOVE SRX!

nicely said. although i hate to point out that if you are a persone that wants to just put gas and oil in it and leave it alone stick with the sxr(or other redheads) stay away from the powervalved motors. if your not afraid of a little preseason maint. then go for the powervalved monsters.
