so i went this sunday and picked her up!
i could pass her up its insane how clean it is, i originally thought about just using the parts i needed to repair my sled but now im actually thinking of using this chassis just because of how clean she is...
its ashame at 2900 miles she melted down the mag side cylinder, i havent checked the jetting yet but i believe the bender cold air kit and airbox mod along with the stock jetting cause this.
the sled is clean the skid looks new! the steering post/jackshaft/carbs/pipes/seat/etc look like-new...
either way i dont know if i am going to use the bender cold air kit unless maybe i port the sled and need the additional air flow, im all about going fast, but i need to be reliable...
does anyone know the paint code for yamaha blue? i need to repaint the hood and fix one small crack and i would like to get a new set of matching 01-02 graphics to match my other sled...
if i dont part her out ill do one race sled and one trail sled, im gonna think about it for a bit and make a decision, but im lost as of now...

i wish it didnt wreck the case... beyond repair i think because its all broken where the case halves meet... im so tempted to buy a motor...

MAN with the rest of the sled that clean and nice I'd definitely be putting another engine in it and running it.Like you say it would be a shame to part out a sled that clean.

it is odd but everywhere i look i see sighns of low mileage... 2900 on the odo. and i think its true... even the powervalves look unreal clean all the coating on them and theres no wear on them. the skid is beyond clean,as well as pipes and the chassis in general...
my guess is the cold air kit and modded airbox and no jetting to match, a wide open run on a cold day and boom.
he even threw in a cover,trailer ski-guides,and some other goodies

yes too clean to part out find a motor for it ...01 was the best year for the srx...i think the graphix on 01 look the best also

THATS A GOOD SLED MAN. 2000 IS MY FAVORITE YEAR. AND I BELIEVE THE FASTEST. YOU CAN FIND THE PARTS TO FIX THAT, I SHOULD HAVE THAT PAINT CODE SOMEWHERE. 3:16 (yammie tony)
