I found an add with a set of these heads for sale and wondered if they are a good upgrade to a stock 98 700 engine,trail ridden with the odd braggin rights race with buds thrown in.What would/should I expect from just a head swap itself?
I always run premium fuel as long as I'm riding local trails or day trips because we usually head for a major municipality with a fuel station that has the option for premium.The only times I run regular or mid grade is when I go on trips where we are into areas where the fuel stops are at outfitter lodges that only supply such but I know enough to not be pushing the engine to peak rpms too much with that lower grade fuel in the tank too.
How critical will the need to always run premium fuel be with mega power heads?

Couple of questions? How many cc are the heads that you are purchasing? Its not the mega power heads themselves that make the power. Mega power heads flow a lot of water which is good and what you want. Its the compression ratio and the squish that will dictate what fuel will be acceptable.
The add doesn't say what the cc is just that there is a gain of 3-5 hp supposedly.I will email the seller and see if I can get the info.

they should have interchangable domes, so, you could basically set them up any way you want by purchasing different domes. I think they are available through mountain performance, as well as other places i'm sure.
