Has anyone tried the air box mod on the tech page with the stock exhaust on the 700.

had a thread on this a little while ago. it came down to its not worth it. try the thin head gasket mod that would be better. just my 2 cents tho, its your sled
pro116 the airbox mod for the 3 into 1 piped 700, works better for mountain applications from what i have read on here before,and i didnt go with the idea, to much messing with the jetting headaches.notch the reed stoppers and punch the silencer and the headgasket mod,you will need to run high octane with the head gasket mod,but then you will have to do some clutch set up because it will over rev big time with thease 3 mods,but once you get the clutch right the sled will run really well. i notched my reed stoppers and bored the silencer left the headgasket alone.a big difference in throttle response, it is alot crisper, and the low speed burble is almost eliminated. do a search on anything i mentioned on here and you will find the awnsers.
