Well I think I have painted the pipes on my SRX for the last time and I've been wanting to have them coated for a few years now but the choices of who to use in Canada let alone the Maritimes is pretty limited.I will be checking on a couple of places over the summer that may be able to do it but I have no idea what kind of quality I'll end up with, and there's Fireball in Ontario they coated my cousins Jaws pipes and did a nice job.Is there any place here in NB or NS that does good work?I don't mind using a US outfit but then I have to go through the hassle of getting the pipes back and forth the border and I really don't want the hassle if I can avoid it.

I just sent the 3 exhaust flanges from my SRX to Swain Tech in Scottsville, NY. They offer a ceramic coating called White Lightning, it is 0.015" thick. They are reputable company. I sent them the exhaust flanges to try the coating out before I send them my pipes.

I sent the pipes from another sled to Central CT coating in Hartford, CT. After a short amount of time, the costing began to discolor and peel. The owner refuses to respond to my calls to make it right. DO NOT USE THIS OUTFIT!!

There are lots of so-called ceramic coating outfits out there, most are incompetent and worthless. Be sure to use an outfit that has demonstrated they do quality work and stand behind it.

RX1jim--Post some pics when they come in.

I should have the 3 exhaust flanges back in about 3 weeks. I will post pics of them as soon as I get them. I also sent 3 pistons to get a thermal barrier caoting applied to the domes and a low friction coating applied to the skirts. I'll post pics of the pistons also when I get them back.

I have used Fireball Coatings for all of my ceramic coating. They do excellent work, and are located in Ontario, Canada.
