Going thru carbs this weekend and wanted to know ideal needle and plastic washers position for stock trail riding machine. Main jets are 148.8 and 150 PTO (2001 jetting). Pilots are 42.5. Ride at approx 600 feet altitude and air temps anywhere between -5 F to 40 F. Any suggestions are welcome.

could try second clip, one washer on bottom, you will need to keep in mind not to keep the throttle at half for very long it will be a hair lean when you -5 temps come around

If you are trail riding keep the needle stock for sure and use premium gas from a good source (i know not always easy to do). You do not want to lean it out with todays bad gas. Not for sure on the srx but mopar is. Chris

stock setting. 3:16 (YAMMIE TONY)
So the suggested main jet size is 148.8 for 2 jugs and 150.0 PTO side, yet the needle position is the same for all 3 jugs.
Anyone care to explain?

Read this by mrviper700. He can explain it way better than i ever can. And by your jetting i would say your running a 2001 srx? This is the recommended jetting to go to for other year srx's except the 02 cause it had the DCS to save your but. chris
