Due to being lazy , I smoked the pto side of my 93 VK540II...the crankseal
was blown out and even the oil pump rubber door was missing.Took 3
seasons but that was just a few hundred miles .
The orig engine is full of Almn and decided to pickup an other . Turned out
to be a "SA535" in 40,000 sn range , which could be the 83 SRV....
IS THat correct ???
IT's last owner had holed pto piston and had alm in crank as well, so I
want to install new brgs,,and it had OK cylinders
.
If so , I checked boats.net and it shows the pto side obs. but fits back
in the 433 to GPX models and forward in 440's and 535....
My orig 93 shows brgs avail , but diff # , but same seals, spacer between
them , same crankcases, same locating 1/2 ring in outer...WILL they fit ?
Sorry ..I'm at home and dialup so I don't have the part numbers here.
.
It is hard to find a good "tow truck" VK in southern Ont or I might have
just parted out the sled,,and already had bought new pistons before finding
the Almn in this engine.
What are you guys using for brgs ??
I will post the Yam brg number later unless someone already knows the
answer I need...
Thanks

Check if the differrence is in bearing locking pins. Other bearing has hole for pin and other has pin on it. You can use both with small mod.

Thanks for the replies , Reimond and Vmax540
.
The chart has very limited PTO end brgs but I will check
a parts catalog to see if Vmax540 uses the same brg
as either ..
If it's just a pin issue I expect the casing can be modified
Thanks
Ron

the vmx540 pto end brg is diff than any shown for SR and
is similar to bigger engine up to 600...
Diff seal , spacer , crankcase ,etc as well.
The 91 to 05 VK brg is looking more promising on paper
and was hoping for someone that has done the job....
shows fitting these models for the older engine

I have use that 93306-30625 (still available) on SRX440 engines. Only difference for stock bearing is pin vs. hole.

I did a bit of goggling and found a few dealers with them
forsale , but a number of other sites showing NLA...
I have a call into local dealer to check it out for me ..
Most of the dealers with website sale are in USA and
sometimes the brokerage can be ugly unless sent by mail.
Thanks

thanks for the replies.....Called my local Yam dealer
and had the parts 2 days later .....Strange that so many
diff dealer sites were wrong....
.
The orig 93 engine injected oil into the fuel line ahead
of the fuel pump.....and the older engine into the manifold..
I sort of prefer the manifold,,,,any reason to return to
the orig design , into the fuel line ??
thanks
