I put my crankcase back together last night and have a question. I put the top half of the case on the bench and then put the crank in. I lined up the knock pins in their cutouts on case half. Then I put the "C" clips on the bearings. Now were those supposed to be in any certain spot?

I sealed the halves with Yamabod 5 and torqued to specs. Crank spins perfectly in case so I hope I did everything correctly.

I put the c rings half in the top case and half in the lower when I assemble them, just my way of doing it. they keep the crank centered and bearings from moving in case.

i also use yamabond 4 not 5. 4 is for motorsports cases and such. i dont see a big issue here tho.
