I need to swap my tunnel since it was hit in the footwell where the trailing arm meets the tunnel. I do not have a garage or the tools to do this. Anyone in the Chicago area want to take on a summer project for a flat fee?

tunnel swap
Quite a job, in the middle of one right now. The fourth one I have done so no surprises, need the correct rivets and a big rivet tool for the steering post. Pneumatic rivet tool is by far the best tool for the job and a good grinder. Oh drill bits too. Good luck !

pneumatic drill is th eonly way to put in bulkhead rivets an tunnel too i think

If you dont take it up to Tom or someone to do it, I just thought I might offer this bit of info, you might very well be able to not change out the tunnel by simply removing the steel tr. arm mount first. The tunnel being aluminum is very easy to work with and a simple dolly and hammer can bend it right back to where it was before the crunch. You can use a peice of steel rod to get the tunnel rolled edge back as well. By removing the steel tr arm mount (which is likely bent) it will allow it all to be straightend out. Then even if you dont have a rivet gun you could install it back with small bolts/nuts. I have fixed a couple that were tweaked hard and once you remove the steel parts its pretty easy.
it is still easier to have someone else do it if your not handy....lol
