I have about 10 gallons of gas mixed with Quicksilver marine 2 stroke oil that I won't be using in the boat motor because the DAMN FLOOD didn't show up this time..lol.

Can I take and use that mixture in my weedeater and gas vac??They all are running same as the boat motor ratio of 50:1.Or can I also maybe pour the mixture into the tank of my old Farmall Tractor,it'll smoke more..but shouldn't harm it..what you think.Don't want to dump the gas or keep it for a year or more in their containers.

thanks

Check the oil to gas ratio reccommended bythe manufacturer's of you other two stroke equipment. I run my chain saws, weed eaters etc at 40:1 to give them a bit more oil. I have also used 40:1 gas/oil mix in my John Deere tractor with NO problems.

Blue,

You now know the secret on how to keep the flood away. get everything prepared and have your premix gas ready to go. Everytime I am fully prepared for something (99% of the time good things I am waiting for) they don't occur. Every season i wait to the very last minute to prep my sleds hoping the season will start early and be terrific. Sometimes it works!!!

good advice there Jim...My chainsaw and weedeater are 50:1 ratio mixes..so then I should be good to go,could always add a few drops more oil in I guess. Thanks for your info. ;)!

Thats a whole lot of weed wacking and wood cutting! I myself would not hesitate to pour into my daily driver. If your concerned about the pre-mix just pour in 5 and fill tank at pump. should end up with like 500 to 1. I have done this in the past as it was walk or pour chainsaw gas in truck and you cant really tell the difference.

I have used it in the truck before too. Once we were coming back from a fishing trip up in Ontario where the gas stations are few and far between and we ran out of gas. All we had was some boat motor gas to get us to the next station. It smoked a little but didn't hurt anything. Most motors will benefits from a little oil in the top end once in a while.
