a buddy of mine has a extra 12 , fox shocks ,1995-1996 real good shape that i can get for less then 200 bucks, would it be worth while trying to get it to work on my SRX? thanks again guys,

I had a 1997 Polaris indy classic which is my moms now that has the extra 12 in it put doesn't have fox shocks. 3 years ago I bought a 2003 Yamaha Viper. The viper rides alot better then the Polaris does. Idk how the Srx rides compared to the viper but i would not put an extra 12 in my viper.

i would get mesuremt for the extra 10 & use that one. the extra 12 is a diferent bolt pattern & A real pain in the A$$ to get in tunnel :o| & seats too high.the extra 10 is a little work & rides better ;)! .it will equal out the front .the 12 is good for a POL thats setup for IT!!! :o|

are you trying to get the entire skid in there?? I thought you were just grabbing the shocks. not sure I would bother, just a LOT longer than would balance out I think. easier to get viper shocks in there and revalved if it were mine

extra 12,

i found an extra 12 complete skid (polaris xlt 1996) and it has the fox shocks, looks in good shape, was going to try to place in in my 99 srx, but may sit the back end up to high, was wondering if anyone had done this? was looking at several different options but i can get this skid for almost nothing, thanks again.

even at that price you can get better skids. I never liked the tippy nature of the extra 12. I have seen those things roll over at pretty tame speeds, like less than 15mph lol! you have all summer to find a great deal

extra 12,

will do!, i'll keep looking for something better over the summer, for the right price, thanks

X2 - the xtra12 was designed for comfort not aggressive riding. Get an xtra10 and I think you'll be happier. IMO - it's the best bang for the buck as far as rear skid upgrades go.
