I have an 81 ss 440, looking to start my 10 yr old daughter in grass drags, what can I do to the sled to make it a little quicker, not looking to win haydays but be a little competitive.
twin pipes, porting and single carb seem to work well. guy at work tried twin carbs on one and could never keep them synched. with the single carb, he was demoing a 440 snocross doo on the lake.

YOU WILL NEVER FIND TWIN PIPES FOR THIS SLED UNLESS YOU USE 540 SR-V TWINS. AAEN MADE THEM THAT DID WORK GOOD. BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK ON THESE SLEDS WAS ALITTLE PORT WORK, COMET CLUTCH AND REEDS. 3:16 (yammie tony)

I have a Coment 102 on the 1980 SS 440 I'm parting out. Interested? Make an offer. Sled ran most of this winter, then siezed the motor (snow ingestion.) I have many parts. Let me know!
