Has anyone used the kit that changes the parking brake from the cable type now to a more conventional hydraulic kind with a button to hold the brake lever open?It is said to save about a pound of weight but more over it would make working on the chaincase so much easier.
i have had one on my srx since i rolled the chaincase. needed it due to the delete of the parking brake.
from experience, hardly worth the expense unless needed. mpi is the only known source, if they even want to cater to your needs.
you need to rethink your chaincase removal procedure as i have. once the shortcuts are learned, you wont even realize theres a brake attached.
