I removed the chain case from my 99 SX. I also removed a couple of those threaded nuts that are riveted to the tunnel. (so I could remove the front exchanger)
Now its time to rivet the threaded nuts into place. Is there anything I need to check to ensure the alignment is correct?
It seems to me that the chain case can shift quite a bit. I would think the jack shaft and track drive SHOULD be aligned some how....???
Let me know what you guys have done in the past....THANKS!

Its pretty much just rivet, bolt and go in all the stuff I have worked on.
Yes, like Tom says it should all line up. As long as the rivets were drilled out without enlarging the holes it should all go back where it came from.
If you egged out the rivet holes you may want to prefit the chaincase to mark the holes. The chaincase will set into the hole in the tunnel slightly, so the threaded nut plates need to be fairly accurate.
